CONSULTATION
The consultation takes about 40min and is carried out by video conference. We analyse the eligibility to the process, evaluate the qualifications and experience, Sponsor’s requirements, and explain the entire application process. Following the consultation, we send you an e-mail with information you need to know about the process and a checklist with the documentation to be provided in accordance with the work permit application process.

Have you had your application denied? You can request a review within 28 days of the letter stating the reasons for the refusal.
We can help you to request a successful review whenever the refusal was due to one of the eligible reasons for a review. There are certain refusal reasons that cannot be challenged with a review, only making a new application. In any case, we can analyse the situation and advise you.

Who needs an employment permit to work in Ireland?
The employment of all non-EEA nationals in the State require a valid employment permit or relevant immigration permission from the Minister for Justice which allows them to reside and work in the State. Employment permit holders can only work for the employer, or as the case may be the connected person or contractor, and in the occupation named on the permit.
Are there different types of employment permits?
The Employment Permits Acts provide for nine types of employment permits to be granted each catering for differing scenarios. The most common application are Critical Skills and General Employment Permit.
Are all jobs eligible for employment permits?
The employment permit system is ordered by the use of occupation lists which determine which employments are highly demanded and which are ineligible for consideration for employment permits at a point in time:
• The Critical Skills List for which special “fast-track” rules apply (e.g. can work without an employment permit after two years, family can join the permit holder immediately).

• The Ineligible List of Occupations which are largely but not exclusively lower skilled occupations. There are no labour shortages from within Ireland/EEA to fill such vacancies.
What are the fees for an employment permit?
The first application fee is €1,000 up to 24 months.
Will I get a refund for my employment permit which has been refused or withdrawn?
Yes, the Employment Permit Legislation allows for a refund of 90% of any fees paid in respect of refused or withdrawn applications.
My application has been refused – can I request a review of that decision?
If you feel that your employment permit application should not have been refused, you can request a review of that decision.
